That Clay Girl Co.'s handmade products are made of polymer clay. Each pair of earrings are one of a kind. This type of clay is versatile and easy to work with. Once it has been cut to the desired shape, it is oven baked. This clay is made of polymers, resins, coloring agents and fillers. It is man-made from a plastic, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) base. Due to the nature of polymer clay, every pair* of earrings is lightweight and easy to wear! You'll sometimes even forget your are wearing them!

*Due to other materials added, some earrings may be on the heavier side, but are still very lightweight in comparison. If this is the case, it will be noted in the product description.

Every earring listed will specify the materials used. I source my materials from shops who state the findings are both nickel and lead free.

The earring posts are gold/silver plated and are nickel free and lead free. The jump rings are also nickel free and lead free, but may vary in containing: metal alloy, brass, and alloy.

I offer clip on earrings, too! They are available in flat post clip on backs. These backs are made of gold plated steel.

Other jewelry findings may only be nickel free and will be stated if so. (ex. eye pins)

Polymer clay is very lightweight and durable/pliable. Like any earrings, please treat them with gentle care. Breaking should not occur, but on the off chance it does, please contact me. 

To remove makeup: gently use a cotton ball or Q-tip with acetone nail polish remover.

Highly recommend not to wear clay earrings during shower/bath and/or swimming etc

Avoid direct contact with creams and perfumes.

Do not expose to high temperature for long periods of time.

Polymer clay is very pliable, but with anything, there is always that chance a product could break. Some clay colors bake harder than others, but for polymer clay is pliable. If your earrings happen to break, please contact me and we will resolve it.

If you receive your product broken from shipment in any way shape or form, please contact me and we will resolve it.
